Art Dubai Turns 20 at Madinat Jumeirah This Month

One of the Middle East's most ambitious art fairs celebrates a major milestone. Art Dubai 20th Anniversary Edition runs April 17 through 19 at Madinat Jumeirah, with the theme "Future, Past, Present" anchoring a program that features more than 100 modern, contemporary, and digital presentations from artists representing 35+ countries. The fair has grown from a small regional showcase in 2007 into one of the most important art events in the Global South, and the 20th anniversary edition is expected to draw record crowds and collectors.

Art Dubai's signature is its unusually global perspective — the fair intentionally platforms African, South Asian, Middle Eastern, and Latin American artists alongside the European and North American galleries that dominate most international fairs. The digital art section has become a standout program since its launch, featuring NFT, generative, and AI-assisted works in a serious curatorial context.
